The Surgeon

A practice built around people

Nine years of standing on the right side of the hardest conversation a family can have.

Dr. Harshit Patel — MS (Gold Medalist), M.Ch Surgical Oncology (Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai) — brings apex-institute training to Ahmedabad and Vadodara, delivered at human scale: unhurried consultations, plans explained in your language, and a phone that gets answered.

In his own words

Why cancer surgery — and why here?

“I chose surgical oncology because it is the one specialty where you meet people at their most frightened — and where skill, honesty and time can genuinely change the ending of their story.”

Training at Tata Memorial Hospital teaches two things at once: the highest technical standard in the country, and humility — because you operate beside masters and still see how much outcomes depend on listening. On judgement. On doing the right operation for the right patient, not the impressive one.

After nine years and more than five thousand operations across nine specialities, my conviction has only grown: patients don’t remember your publications. They remember whether someone finally explained the disease in their own language, whether the plan made sense, and whether the phone was answered when complications came at midnight.

That is the practice I have built in Ahmedabad and Vadodara. The credentials below are the minimum. What families remember is whether they felt treated as people — so that is what we protect daily.
